Welcome to a month-long celebration of our 10th anniversary! During the month of June we’ll reflect on our last 10 years, showcase some of our projects, announce some cool new initiatives, and collectively have a deep look toward the future.
When Tony and I started Magnitude.io in the summer of 2013 our hope was to create a global experience. We’ve done this by bringing learning moments right to the edge of discovery. It took almost 4 years, and some great partners like Space Tango to get our ExoLab to space, and now our 11th mission to the International Space Station, ExoLab-11, is scheduled for early 2024. Make sure you sign up to get the latest on the new mission with course work scheduled to begin in October 2023.
At a global scale, these 10 years has enabled us time to mature to become a project-based company. Contact us if you seek what the stars offer.
We’ll be making some cool announcements this month on upcoming opportunities, and I am glad to see you’ve come by to have a look. Every few days we’ll be releasing some new content along with a look back at our first 10 years. In true countdown style, we’ll start with last year and work our way to the beginning!
So what is 10n? As you may have surmised 10n is a play on our name, Magnitude, and our first 10 year anniversary (101). So the big question for us and the next generations: what will happen 100 years for now, or even more profoundly 10n years from now?
For context, Aboriginal Australian and Torres Strait Islander peoples are believed to be the oldest civilizations at more than 65,000 years old! What will our “Goldilocks” planet be like in 104 years?
The final frontier provides context for humanity. Interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary studies provide profound orthogonal breakthroughs in ideas and implementations. The world is ready for a smarter civilization, and we need it. We are not ready to be an interstellar species. Too many problems at home we haven’t addressed. Perhaps we can come together and solve some problems at scale.
There are plenty of seats in our virtual starship, come join us!
