What are the days of the week, other than habit or ritual?

So here I am, in a wonderful space that can hold many, alone in a serene landscape of reflection. Not without purpose, of course.

Sunday in Berkeley is Monday in Sydney, and there are things to do. Today we announce a multi-year engagement with the Powerhouse Museum and the New South Wales Department of Education on the ExoLab project. 

Connecting schools, libraries, museums, and science centers around the world with our 10th mission this October we ask: how we might grow a garden on Mars and, more importantly, what might we learn to rebuild a vibrant living soil on Earth?

Post-flight research is being done in collaboration with the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab and Joint Genomics Institute. In addition, we’re excited to extend the university network of researchers from Australia to Zambia thanks to our partnership with the United Nations (UNIDO, FAO) through Opportunities for Youth in Africa.
