What Legume should we use in Space?

Your students can help us select the next research plant that heads to space in August aboard ExoLab-8!

You and your students can do this at home. There is no cost for this design challenge. Computer and Internet are helpful, but are optional for your K-16 students.

The selected plant will launch 139 days from now on the SpaceX cargo resupply mission CRS-2 SpX-21. This mission, like ExoLab-7 will be sent to a lab for RNA sequencing if successful.

Tell your colleagues about this expanded FREE mission that begins on the first day of Spring, and ends on Earth Day, April 22, 2020. It’s a new world. Come join us!

This Facebook Live event will open on our Facebook page at 1:00pm PDT March 19, 2020. This challenge is designed as a teacher’s collaboratory, so you can come in any time between 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm PDT. We will cycle the program details at the top of every hour. Guest speakers will be announced as they are scheduled.

The program for Friday, 3/20 will be announced soon, as will additional dates and times over the 30-day design period.
