Lunar initiative / Targeting 2029–2030
The next
horizon
Next stop: the Moon.
For years, students in classrooms around the world have grown plants alongside astronauts aboard the International Space Station through our ExoLab missions. Along the way, they’ve learned what it means to do real science: asking questions, collecting real data, and sharing what they find with researchers, educators, and each other.
Now we’re taking that work to the lunar surface.
Magnitude.io is developing a lunar initiative targeting 2029–2030. It builds on everything we’ve learned about flight research, hands-on learning, and the kind of collaboration that turns students into contributors of discovery.

With Us
Missions like this don’t get built alone. They come together through scientists, engineers, educators, funders, and partners who each bring something essential. This initiative is in active development. If your work connects with lunar exploration, whether in research, hardware, mission operations, education, or support, we’d like to hear from you.
What could you contribute?
Tell us about your work and where you see a place for it in a lunar initiative.
